Tutorials: What would you like to see?

Hey guys!

First of all I want to thank everyone who’s checked out my new site over the past month or so since I launched in late-June! I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had a lot of time to blog, but I’m thinking about starting a Tutorial Series on my blog. That’s where you guys come in!

As I embark on the Tutorial journey, I am wondering what kinds of Tutorials (written or screencast) you guys would like to see? If you guys have anything in particular that you’d like to see, or even suggestions for things I could be doing better, please don’t hesitate to leave a Comment below, drop me an E-mail or message me on Twitter!

    Hi,

    You should make a step by step tutorial in How to make a Flash video player for website. A complete player from scratch!

    Thanks! Keep your great work!

    Yo,

    You should make a step by step tutorial for those of us still looking to do myspace layouts for bands.

    I’ll try to think of something else that would be cooler and more up to date.

    How about a series on developing an app? Maybe even just go through how you built something like the energy efficiency calculator.

    I’m always a sucker for any HTML5/CSS3 stuff, but I’m not sure how technical you want to get….

    If you ever want another contributor or to team up on a series let me know!

    how about designing a tumblr layout. There isn’t much out there. You could leave out the photoshop / html / css part of it and focus on how tumblr specifics {block:IfYouKnowWhatIMean}

    I’ve had trouble implementing disqus. You could also talk about how you test themes. I have no idea how you came up with buttons that show only a certain type of post (is that actually tumblr?)

    Any who, cool site. Post some tutorials and you’ve got yourself one more reader.

    (ps-your comment box needs max-height / max-width attributes so that it isn’t allowed to resize in chrome, which breaks the pretty border you made)

      Hey Adam – Actually, my whole site is a custom built WordPress site, including the blog. I love the Tumblr-esque layout for blogs, so that’s why it follows that sort of layout.

      I myself am learning how to build Tumblr themes, so when I’ve mastered it, I’ll be sure to post a tutorial covering the topic. Thanks for your input!
